Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She made her recording debut in 1990 under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, and became the first recording artist to have her first five singles top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Carey was named the best-selling female pop artist of the millennium at the 2000 World Music Awards. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, she is the third best-selling female artist and sixteenth overall recording artist with shipments of over 62.5 million albums in the US. She is also ranked as the best-selling female artist of the U.S. Nielsen SoundScan era (third best-selling artist overall). On September 9, 2009, in an official press release for her 12th studio album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, Island Records stated that Carey has sold more than 175 million albums, singles and videos worldwide. Ronan Patrick John Keating was born on March 3, 1977 and grew up in both Bayside, Dublin and Swords, Dublin. His mother Marie died on

February 2, 1998 from breast cancer; Ronan and his family have since set up a charity "The Marie Keating Foundation" to help find a cure for

cancer. Ronan married Irish model Yvonne Connolly . They have three children - Jack, Marie and Ali.

Keating joined the band Boyzone when he turned 17; and later briefly co-managed fellow Irish boy band Westlife. Although Boyzone never

officially disbanded, they had not released a single since 1999 but reformed in 2007. He has continued with his own solo career, clocking up a

total of 14 UK top 10 singles as well as four UK Number One albums in addition to nearly two and a half million copies worldwide.

Also in October Ronan was entered in the Guinness Book of Records for being the only artist ever to have 30 consecutive top 10 singles in

the UK chart.

In 2008, Keating rejoined his Boyzone bandmates and completed a 29-date reunion tour. Boyzone released their comeback single on 29

September 2008, Love You Anyway, which was followed by a Greatest Hit album released on 13 October 2008.

Boyzone are an Irish boy band, five members line up of Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, and Mikey Grahamwho.
